Chocolate Bark, clever treats for little people!

Benefits: high anti-antioxidants, essential oils and more importantly here healthy saturated fats to nourish the brain and heal leaky gut.  So excellent treats for children with leaky gut issues.


  • 2 oz 70% dark chocolate, or to avoid all sugar and dairy although in small amounts use raw cacao powder
  • 1⁄2 cup raw coconut oil
  • 1⁄2 cup ghee, raw cocoa butter
  • 3 oz raw nuts and seeds, option to add in dried fruit
  • 1-2 oz dried coconut ( no sulphur or sugar added)


Melt chocolate in glass bowl over boiling water in a pan.  Add coconut oil and other oil continue heating for 1-2 mins, then remove from heat and finish melting.  If using raw cocoa powder just add to the oils.

Line a pyrex dish or baking sheet with parchment paper.  Sprinkle the raw nuts and seed/dried fruits onto the paper.  Pour the melted chocolate over the top until all covered.

Put in the freezer after 15 mins or so, when its not too frozen cut or break the bark then continue in the freezer for 2 hours.

Keep frozen until served.
