When it comes to wellness, the implications of using paraffin wax are worth examining. Although the toxicity of paraffin is still debated, a 2017 study from the University of Copenhagen found that burning paraffin candles could release particles that may contribute to lung inflammation and even lung cancer. Science tells us that any substance foreign to our bodies poses potential chemical risks, adding unnecessary burdens to our liver and endocrine systems.

So, there you have it: mineral wax, a.k.a. paraffin, is a staple in the luxury candle market, hiding in plain sight.
